Following a successful 2010 season, the only logical route for 2011 was to do something completely different.
In a response to the brash, bold and wild artwork of the previous season, a softer, more intricate and personal approach was used for the direction for 2011. It's all about make-believe. The worlds of the imagination. The tales you can tell and the images you can conjure with the simple alchemy of actors on a stage.
These ideas are explored in a collection of images inspired by dusty antique stores, childrens book illustrations and a touch of the surreal. A colour system was introduced to help identify each performance, and a touch of the edginess from the previous year is brought back in the stencil font.
In addition to the core season identity, a range of promotional materials were designed to help promote Tantrum's 35th anniversary celebrations.
